Environmental Responsibility

The Yachana Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to conserving the Ecuadorian Amazon rainforest and improving the lives of its inhabitants through education, health, conservation, eco-tourism and discovering sustainable alternative sources of income for local people. Founded in 1991, Yachana has protected 2,500 acres of primary rainforest, created jobs and economic opportunities, enhanced access to healthcare and nutrition in local communities, and continues to demonstrate that conservation and sustainable development can benefit both people and the environment.
